In a unique pairing of martial arts and business acumen, ONE Championship is bringing the second season of its critically acclaimed reality competition series, “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition,” to the MENA region later this month.

Season
2 of the show is officially set to premiere across the region on beIN Media
Group’s OTT platform, TOD, on Wednesday, November 20.
ONE
will also hold a special red-carpet premiere and panel discussion on Monday,
November 18, at the 2024 Ayjal Film Festival, which will be hosted by Doha Film
Institute in Qatar. The event will feature “Apprentice” star Chatri Sityodtong,
ONE Chairman and CEO, and it will be moderated by social media personality
Khalifa Al Haroon, also known as “Mr. Q.”
“I
am always thrilled to return to Qatar, and this time, I’ll be in town for the
official launch of the second season of our critically acclaimed reality
series,” Sityodtong said.
“Our
first season was a tremendous success, and this second season is even more
dramatic and entertaining. It was an honor to work with Media City Qatar and
remarkable Qatari brands such as Qatar Airways, Ooredoo, and Katara
Hospitality. Fans in Qatar and the entire MENA region will love what this
season of ‘The Apprentice’ has to offer.”
Significant
parts of Season 2, which was co-produced by Media City Qatar, were filmed at
iconic locations in the country, including the Raffles Hotel in Doha, Souq
Waqif, and Zekreet.
The
season also boasts more drama than Season 1, along with more intense boardroom
challenges and physical trials, as 10 candidates compete for the grand prize of
a one-year, US$250,000 job offer to work at ONE’s headquarters in Singapore
under Sityodtong.
Beyond
a reality television show, “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition”
represents a continuation of ONE’s commitment to developing its presence in
Qatar and the MENA region. The show’s format has been tailored to local
audiences, featuring the best elements of Qatari culture and promoting Qatari
values.
“This
is the toughest ‘Apprentice’ in history, and it wasn’t easy for the 10
candidates. But each showed the resilience, resourcefulness, and resolve that
is characteristic of Qatari culture, and I am excited for fans in Qatar to
finally get to watch the show,” Sityodtong added.
“Shoutout
to the Doha Film Institute for inviting us to participate in this year’s Ajyal
Film Festival. I can’t wait to see everyone there.”
ONE
also brought a fight card to the country this past March, hosting ONE 166:
Qatar live at the Lusail Sports Arena. The event was a massive success and
marked a new era for the promotion.
A
second event in Qatar is rumored to be in the works, as ONE seeks to establish
the country as a hub for its brand in the MENA region.
