The Ministry of Municipality in Qatar has opened a state-of-the-art public park in the city of Mesaieed. Spanning over 38,000 square meters, this park offers a wide range of amenities for visitors to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.

The park was officially inaugurated by His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, the Minister of Municipality. During the opening ceremony, the Minister emphasized Qatar's commitment to increasing the number of public parks, gardens, and green spaces across the country.

"This new park in Mesaieed is part of our efforts to provide citizens, residents, and visitors with top-notch recreational facilities that promote a sustainable environment and a healthy way of living," said the Minister. "It aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and our third national development strategy for 2024-2030."

The Mesaieed Public Park boasts an impressive array of features, including a 676-meter-long jogging track with a rubberized surface, vast green areas covering 11,316 square meters with natural grass, trees, and palm trees, and a cutting-edge automatic irrigation system.

Sports enthusiasts can take advantage of the three football fields catering to different age groups, a basketball court, and a tennis court. For those seeking a more leisurely experience, the park offers a beautifully illuminated water fountain and six well-lit pergolas for relaxation.

Children can have a blast in the dedicated play area, complete with rubber flooring and various sports games designed for different age groups, ranging from three to fifteen years old.

To ensure convenience for visitors, the park provides ample parking space for 132 vehicles, including designated spots for individuals with special needs and police cars.

Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality, Abdullah Ahmed Al Karani, highlighted the Ministry's commitment to establishing new public parks and revitalizing existing ones to meet international standards.

"We are dedicated to providing our communities with world-class recreational spaces that promote a healthy and active lifestyle," Al Karani stated.

Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sada, Acting Director of the Public Parks Department, emphasized the significance of the Mesaieed Park, being one of the first such facilities to open in the industrial area. He added that the Ministry is keen on increasing green spaces in Mesaieed due to their positive impact on air quality and the overall environment.

With its state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to sustainability, the Mesaieed Public Park promises to be a vibrant hub for outdoor activities and leisure, catering to people of all ages and interests.
