In a meeting held on the morning of Wednesday, May 22, 2024, the Qatar Cabinet approved a proposal from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to allow children to enroll in kindergarten classes starting at the age of three, rather than the previous age of four.
The regular Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, took place at the Amiri Diwan.
Following the meeting, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi released a statement detailing the session's agenda and decisions:
