The Ministry of Transport in Qatar has announced plans to commence testing services for electric air taxis and electric delivery planes in early 2025. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to develop and operate an integrated mobility ecosystem within the country. 

To facilitate these trials, the Ministry has sought all necessary approvals and coordinated with relevant Qatari bodies. The introduction of these innovative air mobility solutions is expected to significantly enhance the performance of Qatar's transportation sector. By leveraging the latest global technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), this initiative aims to improve the integration, coherence, sustainability, and eco-friendliness of the public transit system.

These efforts are aligned with the objectives of the Third Qatar National Development Strategy (NDS3), which emphasizes the use of advanced technologies to achieve sustainable development and economic diversification. The implementation of electric air taxis and delivery planes will further solidify Qatar's leadership in the global transportation sector and contribute to the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
