Qatar Railways Reports Over a Million Passengers on Doha Metro and Lusail Tram during 2023 Asian Cup Group Stage

Qatar Railways company (Qatar Rail) has revealed impressive passenger numbers on its Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks during the first round of the group stage of the 2023 Asian Cup, held from January 12 to January 16, 2024.

The total number of passengers reached a significant 1,079,340, with 1,040,973 passengers utilizing the Metro and 38,367 passengers opting for the tram service.

The networks experienced heightened demand, especially on the tournament's opening day, which featured the Qatar vs. Lebanon match at Lusail Stadium. This particular day saw a remarkable turnout, with 234,862 passengers transported on the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks.
